I would like this feature. I hate it when a thread disappears and I don't know what happened to it. I think it also creates more drama and a bad name for tribe when people automatically think it was tribe that deleted it, when often it was the original poster.

Mon, September 11, 2006 - 4:48 PMor a tribe employee. I think it would save tribe alot of bad feelings that always get thrown at them when threads disappear. I was in a tribe recently where someone deleted a thread they started and everyone was freaking out and yelling about tribe watching them and cencoring them. Many people it seems did not realize that people could delete a thread they started.
in any case I would also like to know when a thread is deleted. I have spent a bunch of time looking for threads a couple of times only to eventually figure they must have been deleted. Also knowing about it could be a helpful hint to a moderator that there might be some drama going on. -

Sun, November 18, 2007 - 10:16 AMit generally says topic cannot be found. I have been notified from time to time when a post is removed by the postee or moderator.
This is a good idea though because I am in the process of clearing out some of the older post in the tribes i moderate so I suppse I will notify the ones who responded to the post if that is possible to do. My reason is when the tribe get very slow running I notice the tribes with fewer post seem to remain functional -it is a lot space being used for old outdated post sure some are the kind that should stay but some are not.
oh yeah Google works alright to find tribe stuff.
