...please excuse if this has been addressed before....I still feel like a fresh-faced kid when it comes to Tribe. I run across people joining for the purpose of posting their service/pitching their idea-org-cult etc. Only been 'hit' once on my mod's (we won't go into alts here!)- but is there an appropriate protocol for the poster who joined 4 hrs. ago with 0 friends and an agenda?

Sat, August 18, 2007 - 11:04 AMI say remind him/her that this is a social networking site & that one must actually at least make an attempt to be 'social' about it ~ give them a chance to improve & get a clue. If they insist on ignoring good advice ~ do as you will.....
There may be a genuine person under all that spam!

Re: Spamembers
Sat, August 18, 2007 - 2:55 PMYep, I delete them and their advertising as well. It just does not make sense for someone to join Tribe and not have any friends...
if anything, I might wait a week or two and see what other "posting" they may be doing on tribe before I let them join, but 99% of the time, they are just pushing selling so yuk!

Re: Spamembers
Wed, October 10, 2007 - 3:07 PMI've said this before - you can boot them from your tribe with a pm that says to not return. If they do, report it to abuse@tribe.net. It is a TOU violation and they will be booted. Find the ignore button on their profile page. It works.
