"Cease and Desist"?

So this isn't exactly the perfect fit for this tribe, but it may be possible that as moderators you have come across this. I'd replied to a thread [not in a tribe I moderate] with a benign quick bio that seemed to run along the theme of other bio's posted by the author, and the thread was deleted then reposted without my reply. I then asked in thread 'oops what happened to the last thread' and got this out of the blue:

"please cease and desist from further contact with me, including replies to my posts. your behavior constitutes harassment.. every post you make is a fight against me...or against the various Buddhist monks who come on here

you are not a Buddhist

you are some kind of right wing troll here to harass Buddhism. your behavior is not only some kind of violation of courtesy, it actually constitutes criminal behavior, since you have a malicious intent to harass me...

if you continue to annoy me, I will contact Tribe Net...if you go farther, I will prosecute you in a court of law does that explain why I deleted your post? I hope so and I hope someone with the time, finds time to prosecute you and put you and the other trolls in prison, where you clearly belong "

Honestly if you had seen the history of my posts, you wouldn't think that I had in any way harrassed this man. At worst, I may have disagreed with others with regard to their insistance on the 'true Buddhist Way' [I -am- Buddhist FWIW] but never have we come to argument in public or private.

Clearly I am not intimidated by the prosecution threat, but the Tribe evidence [for a TOU investigation] has been deleted, so who is to say? Do they back these things up? As moderators, have you come across this?

a tribe moderator is like a little god, what they say goes in thier tribe. so they can kick you out or delete the threads if they want. you can of course as anyone reading that message would think they are batshit crazy. if it was an individual in a tribe who posted thier thread then they can delete it. This really annoys me though that they can especially when there are good conversations that happen and then get deleted by the origional poster. as moderator I remove people from my tribe that post topics and then delete the threads. As for the person you are dealing with they are bitshit crazy, ignore them and don't worry about it. responsing to a post is not harassment of any legal kind and unless you are violating the TOU there isn't jack shit they can do. If I have people acting batshit crazy in my tribes, they get a warning and then removal.

Yeah, I beleive that the moderator is 99.9999% of the time fair-handed. I've never been threatened by him with ousting and we pretty much have similar world-views. It's a member who I never thought hostile toward me, and suddenly I am 'right-wing'? Anyway, I just wonder how far a person can take that in Tribe, not so much in the courts.

: \ Probably should just ignore it and put the info I had posted in my own thread.
